I build things on the internet, and I've been doing it since 2000.

I'm Nik McFly — Moscow-born, Almaty-based.

Communities connect most of what I have built. Bitcoined — to my knowledge, the first Bitcoin community on Facebook — in 2011. CreativeRussia brought together 5,000 creatives. McFly.Aero grew to 100,000 people interested in flying taxis. I also helped build a 24/7 Clubhouse room and the Eurasian AI Association.

Then I ran Hybrain, an AI agency that worked with 24 businesses across 33 countries, trained 1,500+ people, and launched 25+ AI projects. I also co-founded a project that began as an AI meme and grew to 6,300 GitHub stars, more than a million views, and seed funding.

Now I'm building an AI-music company. Our catalog includes more than 80 released tracks, has crossed 20M streams, and has earned tens of thousands of dollars.

Understanding difficult systems is a family habit. According to our family history, my grandfather was a Soviet intelligence officer and a link between Khrushchev and Kennedy during the Cuban Missile Crisis. I now write short, practical books about systems that are easy to use badly: phone farms, AI model agencies, prediction markets, patents, visibility in ChatGPT, and staying sharp while using AI. Six books are out and one more is in progress. The Polymarket Files is based on 1.9 billion trading records from the world's largest prediction market.

I play Go, I've been to 33 countries, and I have a tattoo on my tooth. I also stoically survived losing 80 Bitcoin — the password just doesn't work.

I also speak and organize AI events: AIrathon 2024 in Almaty, an AI analytics program for the Senate of Kazakhstan, a workshop for 50 journalists at MNU, Kazakhtelecom Growth Forum, Eurasian Mobile Summit, and more than ten others.
